Words From The Band II

Nick returns...
Nick heads back to the post about his tonsils days later to say:

"Tomorrow (the 21st) is the big day! I'm going under the knife at 6am. Actually it's probably a laser or something higher tech than a knife. Wish me luck. We picked the songs today. I'm happy with the choices. Democracy works! Nick"

Nick says, "Tonsils Out, Two Pounds Lighter." Post-Surgery Comments from Nick:
"My enormous tonsils have been removed. Yesterday was living hell, but today is merely living heck. Swallowing is painful. I'm living on chiocken broth and ice cream. I'm almost finished watching the entire first season of Sopranos on DVD. I would like to thank all of the well-wishers for their words of encouragement. Nick"

A fan posts in reply the suggestion that Nick sell his tonsils on eBay.
No word yet from 311 management as to whether or not they will be sold. J/K!

When Asked If 311 Would Be Checking Out Outkast On Their Current Tour, P-Nut Said: "311 are huge Outkast fans and have been for years, it's about time they got the respect they deserve. Unique everything."

A Fan Wants To Know, Who Is Into Punk More, Nick or P-Nut? P-Nut said: "I would have to say that Nick is more into punk music and I am more into the punk attitude."

A Fan Posts that 311 Hates Canda(UNTRUE!!) Because Of The Warped Tour Dates That They Are Playing Avoiding Canada, P-Nut says: "We always have fun in Canada, sorry we don't show up more. We'll do our best to share pur presence. Peace."

P-Nut was asked what his favorite bands or musicians were and he said: "Steve Harris, Cliff Burton, Mark King, Flea, Les Claypool, Andy Rourke, and all my teachers that got me going in the right direction."

A Request Is Made That P-Nut Sell His Garbage On eBay, P-Nut said: "No thanks, but Thanks."

A Fan Wants To Know How Many Basses P-Nut Usues In His Show: "I use only one bass during a show, unless I break a string."

In Response to Someone Posting that "Incubus sold out big time", Nick said: "I find this to be a very interesting topic. To me, if a band is true to their original goals, tastes, approach, etc, then it doesn't matter how big they get. Only if they sacrifice their integrity to get rich should they be called a sell out. Change for artistic reasons is always a good thing. the term sell out is very over used. Incubus is a very credible band and I'm counting on them to help us save rock and roll from the idiots. I'm also counting on Deftones, U2 and Perry Farrell. N"

In Response to 311 Only Being On The Warped Tour From June 22nd-July 29th, P-Nut said: "We are for sure going to do an extensive fall tour, where we'll be playing full sets, so those who don't see us now, will see more of us. Be good all."

A Fan Wants To Know if 311 Uses Tobacco and P-Nut says: "No nicotine over here, but, I do roll a cognac blunt every once and a while(last night) but, I try not to do it often, 'cause I smoked cigs for about ten years before I quit. And I would hate it if I started up again. Be good everyone."

A Fan Is Dying For the Latest 311 News Regarding The Album, P-Nut responds: "It's coming and it's as good as we get, I promise. It's like going to our best show, you're going to pop when you hear it. P-Nut, flaming the fire"

In Response To A Fan Who Posted the "Song List For The New Album, (unconfirmed except for the following info): " 'Bomb the Town' isn't on the disc, either is 'We Do It Like This', but, 'Wake Your Mind Up' is on and the whole project is a complete masterpiece, if you ask me. It's as good as we get, don't try and compare it to anything we've ever done, we are at a new level, always improving. So, get ready for the explosion. P-Nut"

A Fan Wants To Know, Between Nick and P-Nut, Who Can Kick Who's Ass In Basketball??: "I would say that both of us have our strong points, but, Nick beats me most of the time, it's true."

A BB'er Asks If 311 Is Even Considering Putting "Cali Soca" On The Album Or Will It Be An Outtake Like "Blizza" Was?: "I don't know what we are going to do with that song, it'll find a home, but don't hold your breath. Be good akk. P-Nut"

Fans Ask If P-Nut Really Thinks 311 Will Blow Up This Year And Take Over Music?: "I truly think so, because the music that's going on right now, besides Incubus and Deftones(but they aren't really hitting as hard as I thought they were going to, but believe me, I love them), doesn't really have and deep inspiration. And I know that's what we captured on this new album. You just wait, and try to be patient, but, you really don't have that much longer."

A Fan Wants To Know People's Favorite Simpson's Episode, and P-Nut says: "My favorite is anytime when they offer us a dream/trip section, that's when they flex the best visuals on tv. No one does it better."

BB'ers Want To Know, A Definite June Release Date For The New Album??: "It's coming out in June, for sure. P-Nuthead"

What Are 311's Feelings on Napster/MP3 Companies??, P-Nut says: "I think it's great that anyone in the world can listen to us, with a computer and a phone line that is."

In response to all the Birthday wishes to nick on the BB and via email, Nick posted: "I just want to thank everyone for all the Happy Birthday wishes. It means a lot to me to come here and read that so many people are thinking of me. I had a great time last night at my brother Zack's gig and my party. Anyway, keep rockin! Peace, Nick"

A fan is excited about "You Wouldn't Believe" (311's first single from their soon to be released album 'From Chaos') hitting the airwaves soon, here's what P-Nut had to say: "I say bring it on, I can't wait for everyone to hear it. It sounds great, you will agree."

A fan wants to know if Warwick has ever approached P-Nut to have his own signature edition bass, and if not, has he ever thought about pursuing that: "I actually have been thinking about that lately, the only thing is, it would have to be a pretty expensive bass, I wouldn't to put my name, (my stage name), on a piece o junk. I will look into that nonetheless. Be good."

A fan congratualtes P-Nut on his engagement, and he responds: "Cant' wait to get married. I am in bliss."

A rude fan blamed 311 for removing their music from Napster, (personally I think that this kid doesn't realize what he's talking about, and I'd rather not reproduce the idiotic things he accused 311 of here, so you can just read how P-Nut laid the smack down here, and rightfully so): "We didn't remove shit, you need to relax before you go accusing, aren't you supposed to like us? Sure doesn't sound like it, sounds like you just want some free shit. Treat us like you want to be treated."(>>>Yea, I know, P-Nut rules!)

P-Nut, How long is the record?: "It's about 44 minutes. Makes you want to hear it again and again and again."

Someone wanted to know what 311 is up to, now that the album is complete and P-Nut replied: "We rested a little bit, but now it's back to picture taking and interviews, but, I don't mind, never have, I just try and have fun no matter what. I am actually looking up music theory online and doing a little refresher course for myself and I am learning to use Final Cut Pro, so I can direct the best 311 video ever. hehe."

How did 311 get down with Shaq? P-Nut replied: "We have a friend that works for the record label that Shaq's on, and they wanted some musick for Shaq's new album and we were in the studio, so it just made sense to come over. Nick and Chad made him something, I haven't heard it but, I know it's dope."
